I’m an attention whore
Some people I’ve known have told me that I should write for myself. I do not understand the point of this. If the purpose of writing is to communicate and I can communicate with myself much more efficiently by thinking about things in my head, then why would I choose the incredibly inefficient and inadequate method of writing?
If you write, it’s to communicate things to people outside of yourself. The only reason to write for yourself is if you enjoy the act of stringing words together into sentences.
That’s why I want to work in collaboration with others. Then it becomes a social act, even if no one else is reading it.
Here’s a sample of something I wrote. Is there anyone out there who would actually be interested in reading more of this, and not because you know me and want to show support, but because there’s something in it that is actually interesting? Or is it really just the pretentious fantasy bullcrap I think it is?

And then there’s me, I grab the sleeves and pull.

It seems that our recent update has screwed up the formatting for mobile phone devices and the Nintendo DS. We’ll go back to the old format and work on fixing it.
Speaking of which, I don’t actually use MSPARP on a mobile phone so I’m not sure what problems existed for mobile phone users, aside…
To be honest, I prefer the new format. I don’t have to worry as much about checking the wrong box or deselecting all my roleplay preferences. It’s an iPod touch, btb. Text sizing is easier too, no screwing around with the zoom and then accidentally full-screening so I can’t read what my partner has written. The only issue I can find right now (and I don’t know if it’s fixable or not) is in chat on a mobile device, whenever someone joins/leaves the room, the window scrolls back up about halfway through the chat.
Not sure about it scrolling halfway through the chat but the fact that it works properly on an iPod seems significant.
I think the programmer who did the coding has an iPod as well. If that’s the case, it’s possible that we need to make that bit of code specific to apple’s mobile OS instead of having it apply to all mobile devices. Does anyone using an iPod or iPhone have any problems with the new mobile formatting or is this just limited to other phones like Blackberry and Android?
